I'm going to start with something a little different today: I can no longer let the Denver Nuggets go unmentioned. This team is an absolute defensive abomination. If Mike Brown watched a Denver Nuggets game, I think he would keel over and uncontrollably start muttering "the horror" for days on end. I am going to go as far as saying that this team is making a mockery of organized basketball in that they don't even give a shit about playing anything resembling this thing that other teams call "defense". It's one half of the game George Karl. And until your stupid ass realizes that , YOU AREN'T GOING ANYWHERE. I hope this joke of a team makes the playoffs as the eighth seed and then gets swept because they haven't played defense in over 4 seasons. 151 points to the Seattle Supersonics with 6 games left in the season that never even began in Seattle. They gave up 19 points to Luke Ridnour and 35 to Jeff Green. Wow.
Well the Indians game was slightly less excruciating today then it had been the past two days. At least they won, but the offense continues to look absolutely dismal. The main thing that I'm taking away from today's game is Cliff Lee's performance, as pitching is what is going to get it done for us this season. He looked as if he had regained form, at least for one day, and had incredible command of his pitches, especially his fastball. This was the most encouraging thing, as form and command are what is going to keep him on track this season. As for the offense, you could just say they are struggling out of the gate and struggling without Victor Martinez, but I think some glaring weaknesses have been exposed that might hurt us throughout the season. We have to get more production out of our corner infield spots, and I cannot stand when Jhonny Struggles, he looks like shit at the plate and doesn't make up for it in the field. I don't think David Delucci is going to get a hit all year. Ben Francisco needs to be called up right away.
